This inaugural story, Dead in Mt. Isa, was written by Northern Virginia native David Brooks. Mr. Brooks grew up near Mount Vernon, and still has family in Alexandria. He now lives in New Hampshire where he is an editor and writer for the Nashua Telegraph. Mr. Brooks writes the newspaper's science column and blogs at Granite Geek.
